Background
From the Fall/Winter 2005 Roberto Cavalli collection, this skirt is made from green-toned silk. It features richly woven brocade panels in layered shades of emerald, turquoise, and antique gold. Contrasting floral, ornamental, and abstract motifs are assembled in an irregular patchwork, giving the surface depth and variation. Soft volume through the hem allows the different textiles to unfold with movement. It has very minimal signs of vintage use.
